Turning Waste into Energy — Mailhem’s Expertise

India is rapidly shifting from agricultural-based nation to industrial and services-oriented country. There is corresponding rise in waste generation steadily. Almost all the current traditional waste treatment technologies for MSW are capital intensive and require huge operating expenses to keep the waste treatment plants running at desired levels, due to which
waste treatment becomes a resource intensive exercise difficult to keep in operation round the year, year after year. As a result, these systems are often found to be operated partially and wastes are dumped at landfill sites or into water bodies like rivers and oceans.

There’s a lot we can do to reduce our waste and turn it into energy for our planet. This includes generating electricity, heat, and fuel. While some types of solid waste can be converted to gas to power generators in factories and industries, others are broken down to create biogas that’s rich in methane.

Mailhem Environment Pvt. Ltd. has been successful in converting all kinds of solid and liquid waste into bio energy since last 25 years. The name MAILHEM itself signifies the ability to transform waste (mail) into gold (hem) in Sanskrit.

Mailhem’s expertise and capability to design, manufacture, and erect biogas plants of capacities ranging from 100 kg/day to 100 TPD and make them an asset for smart cities.

In Indore, Mailhem completed 15 Metric tons per day segregated municipal organic waste to compressed Biogas generation project. Where it generates around 500 kg of IS 16087:2016 Standards Daily generation includes 1000 cum biogas, 500 kg compressed biogas, 1500 kg organic manure (khaad) and 20 KL liquid manure. Indore is the cleanest city in India for four consecutive years and plants like this help maintain it’s clean and green status!
